A sales value-added tax (VAT) is required for all purchases made from an EU-based business or expert on Zeqr Ltd. For businesses that register their valid VAT registration, the VAT will be exempt from their purchases on Zeqr.
How does the VAT affect commission to Zeqr Ltd for Xperts?
For Xperts that reside in a country which is a member of the European Union, there will be a VAT added to the ‘Service Fee’ that they pay to Zeqr Ltd. This will be added to the total purchase price that the ZEQR pays for a class.
The VAT is based on the VAT of the Xpert’s home country, it is a component of the service fee to Zeqr Ltd., and does not take into consideration the home country of the buyer. For Xperts that have a registered their EU VAT number, this VAT can be avoided simply by adding the EU VAT number to your account by going to Settings -> General -> Account Type. Under Account Type, users can change their accounts to a business account and add the correct EU VAT number.
How does the VAT effect commission to Zeqr ltd for Zeqrs?
Zeqrs from any region may encounter a VAT charge when purchasing classes, etc. on Zeqr from a EU based Xperts. This is due to European VAT rules and is only added to Xperts that have not added their EU VAT registration number to their account. The VAT is based on the VAT of the Xpert’s home country and does not take into consideration the home country of the buyer. The VAT is added to service fee that Zeqr Ltd is entitled to and not to the entire class fee. The VAT is collected by Zeqr Ltd and is paid to the local tax authority in the home country of the Xpert. Therefore, Zeqrs outside the EU may see the VAT listed within their transaction.
